These studies of the Psalms will cover sixteen selected Psalms. They consist of outlines and notes on the verses of each of these Psalms as well as specific word studies that will enhance the understanding of the Scriptures .

Lament – Prayers for help and deliverance, expressing disappointment and sorrow. (About 1/3 of all the Psalms)

Imprecatory – Prayers for God to bring judgment on enemies. 35, 58, 69, 83, 109, 137.

Songs of Ascent – Psalms that were sung during the ascent up to the temple during the feasts of Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. Psalms 120-134.

Acrostic – Each verse or group of verses (Ps. 119), begin with a sequential letter of the Hebrew alphabet. 9, 10, 25, 34, 111, 112, 119, 145.
